Prayed for Babies Photos

Photos of Babies and Families For Whom We Have Prayed

EMMA ADAMS

Emma's mother writes, "My husband and I went through fertility treatment because he had a fertility problem. When you prayed for me, it was right after my first treatment and the doctor said not to get my hopes up too much because it generally took a few times before one would become pregnant. I became pregnant after only one try, and it was on Christmas Eve which was special to me. About 10 weeks in, I developed a blood clot and then at 13 weeks almost miscarried so it was scary. But I do believe that, due to prayer, Emma is here and healthy!"

Thank you, Lord! And God bless you, Emma!

MADISON

Madison's mother was in danger of miscarriage throughout the pregnancy with Madison. Doctors did not know if she would be able to carry her baby to term. Much prayer was offered for Madison's mom Lisa and for Madison. Here is the result of that prayer--a healthy, almost full term baby.

SAVED BABY GIRL

This baby girl, pictured still in utero, was in danger of abortion. While we prayed, her parents went into an abortion clinic to end the pregnancy due to several stressful factors in the parents' lives including financial difficulties. The mother, who had a previous abortion, was so tense and nervous that the baby's father said, "You don't have to do this if you don't want to. Do you want to leave?" She answered, "Yes!" and they did. They are delighted with their daughter.

SONJA ROSE

Born June 10, 2013

Sonja Rose's parents had some serious difficulties during Sonja's stay in the womb, plus the pregnancy itself seemed precarious at times. But Sonja Rose was born healthy and full term and her parents and big brother are delighted.

MICHAELA

Born October 2008

Micheala's mother was suicidal and threatening to get an abortion due to tremendous pressures from her family and the baby's birth father. She was put in touch with a prayer group in her area who supported her throughout the pregnancy. The Confraternity of Penitents also prayed for this child. Three times the baby threatened to miscarry and once Michaela's mother attempted suicide. But Michaela was born and her mom calls her "my angel." Please continue your prayers for Michaela and her mother. And may God reward you!

EVA JANETTE

Born March 17, 2008

Eva Janette was diagnosed in utero with Trisomy 18. After birth she was found to have brain and heart problems. Doctors felt that surgery was not indicated.

IN MEMORY OF MALCOLM WILLIAM

Died in utero, October 2007

Malcolm was diagnosed in utero with hydranecephaly. His parents chose to continue the pregnancy and give Malcolm a chance to be born. Sadly he died in utero at five months gestation.

IN MEMORY OF THOMAS ISAAC ANTHONY

Stillborn at 42 weeks gestation, April 8, 2007

Sadly some abort their children when they learn their baby has a condition not compatible with life.  I just don't understand why.  I'm so glad for the time we were give with him from Jesus (Keith and I seriously suspect Our Lord gave us a little extra).  He lived out his life as Jesus wished.  I pray all parents would give their children the same chance.  How can we know what Jesus does with these children in the womb?  Their lives, however short, have a purpose according to God's plan, too.  If we had known beforehand that Thomas had this condition, we still would have let him live for as long as God willed.

So thank you for the page and for all of your prayers!

Thomas' Mom, Holly

"Suffer the little children to come unto Me for unless anyone become as a little child, he shall not enter the Kingdom of God."

IN MEMORY OF ANN MICHAEL

Ann Michael was miscarried in November 2007. May God bless her family and hold them in prayer.

SAVED BABY GIRL

Born June 6, 2006

This little girl's mom had been abortion minded and kept changing her mind between getting an abortion and continuing the pregnancy. Her need of financial help and no supportive folks nearby didn't help much either. With the prayers of the CFP, the support of one dedicated mom who regretted her own previous abortion, and $15,000 raised from many donors (many of them contacted via internet), this baby's mom struggled through her pregnancy and gave birth. This little girl has been adopted by a loving Christian family.

CHLOE SARAH PHILOMENA

Born August 1, 2006

Chloe's mom wrote to us and asked for prayer.

Note from Naomi: May 21, 2006:  Please pray for myself and my unborn child, I have been having contractions hourly since week 20, in and out of the hospital and constantly under the threat of hospital bed rest/preterm labor. I am due Aug 11.  Thank you.

Note from Naomi, February 8, 2007: On Aug 1st I gave birth to a healthy, baby girl--Chloe Sarah Philomena (named for her patron saint), so far no side effects from any of the medications I was on to stop the contractions, etc.  The doctors really can't explain how the length of my cervix grew ( as a shortened one is indicative of premature labor). I can only attribute it to all the prayers from everyone. Thanks so much. Chloe is now 6 months old.

MADISON SUSAN

Born April 24, 2005

Madison Susan's mother had trouble carrying other pregnancies to term.   Madison's grandmother asked for prayers for Madison once she found out that her mom was pregnant.  Thank You, Lord, for letting all go well with this pregnancy and for giving Madison Susan as a gift to her family.

ARIANNA

March 1 - March 5, 2005

Arianna was diagnosed in utero with anencephaly, a birth defect incompatible with life. Her parents completed the pregnancy and gave birth to Arianna who lived four days of love in her parents' arms. She had many hospital visitors and was able to feed a bit and look around and smile. Arianna's birth brought reconciliation to several members of her family who had, until then, been estranged from one another. Thank you, Lord, for the gift of this precious child.

SIDNEY FAITH

Born March 25, 2005

Sidney Faith was born on March 25, 2005 and lived eighteen minutes outside the womb.  Prior to her birth, she had been diagnosed in utero with a lethal form of dwarfism.  Despite medical pressure to end their pregnancy and Sidney's life, Sidney's parents Laura and Kevin carried her to term and spent a lifetime of love with her in just a short period of time.  If you have received a serious prenatal diagnosis and would like to contact Laura and Kevin, please email the Confraternity of Penitents and we will put you in touch with them.  They are the parents to eight children, including Sidney.

ELISE

Born May 7, 2004

Elise's mother Ashli suffers from hyperemesis gravidarum, a terrible pregnancy- created illness that causes excessive nausea in the mother, so much so that the woman is often driven to abort a baby she desperately wants, to avoid being so very, very sick. Ashli had been hospitalized several times for treatment during this illness and attributes her perseverance in maintaining the pregnancy to prayer and the support of many around her.

What a blessing to see this sweet little one and to know her family's happiness. May God bless you all for your prayers for Ashli and Elise. Please pray for Ashli's book on hyperemesis gravidarium; she is seeking a publisher. The book is intended to help women with this illness stick it out to give birth.

If you wish to contact Ashli, please write to us.

JOSEPH

Born February 11, 2005

Died February 16, 2005

Joseph was diagnosed in utero with anencephaly.  His mother was given a booklet on pregnancy termination for babies conceived with conditions incompatible with life.  Joseph's mom and dad were distressed but were not going to take their son's life.  With the support of family, friends, and their church, they continued their pregnancy until Joseph was born naturally. Many spiritual healings came to Joseph's mother in the four days that Joseph lived.  A huge and beautiful funeral Mass was held for this little one who lives now with God.
